The Premiere A leg of Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011 shone and sparkled in all sorts of persuasions courtesy of designers Kristel Yulo, Michele Sison, and Roland Lirio. Sequins and fussy beadwork made a glitzy appearance in all but one of the collections (with the sporty and street Ralph Ng as the exception), presaging a season chock-full of glitteringly garbed women
Kristel Yulo presented a lineup of her usual cocktail- and floor-length dresses in her usual feminine, very wearable style. Her golden dresses that are geometrically embellished with bugle beads are a standout, as well as her lime green and gray chiffon confections, which we can see on the some of the "it" girls in the party circuit.
Michele Sison collaborated with Jun Jun Ablaza for her show, presenting a slew of both casual and dressy pieces cut from one-tone, animal and floral print fabrics heavily accessorized by Jun Jun's extravagant ornamentations of feathered headdresses, cuffs, and neckpieces, and even animal hides slung across the models' shoulders. Tim Yap, Marco Lobregat, and Carla Abellana walked the show
